Dafa started establishing small groups for puppet theatre in poor areas consisting of children. On February 2010 Dafa established the first puppet theatre group in Zarqa camp. Dafa is not only improving and developing puppet show projects in Zarga camp but also in other different poor areas

dafa is trying, through projects, to emphasize on the importance of the dream, which is always connected with reality. The project resulted from a reaction to the following facts: the poverty of these refugee camps and their neighbourhoods, yards and gardens where children play, the unhealthy environment, cramped houses, difficult living conditions, bad economic situation and the families’ impossibility of buying games for their children.

Dafa: An Arabic word which means; The contrary of loneliness and estrangement and the contrary of stealing basic human rights; homeland, education, health, water, air … etc. Dafa: Invitation to dream, hope and work, to create a new generation able to give.

The beginning of (DAFA) idea: The group started in the year 2009 when we put our own vision and goals, by looking through previous experiences in puppet theatre. That year the group performed a puppet show for orphans (girls and boys) in Orphan Welfare Association (OWA) – Baqa'a Camp. In summer and winter that same year, the group performed shows for orphans in camps held by OWA. The group’s desire at that time was to find new methods of dialoguing with children and puppet theatre, for that matter, not only entertains but also plays a huge role in children’s education and orientation.
